Quick answer
A chiropractic marketing plan for new patients rests on an accurate Google Business Profile, a fast website with a page for each service, honest patient reviews, and claims you can back up. The FTC's review rule took effect on October 21, 2024, and the FTC says health claims need "competent and reliable scientific evidence."
A chiropractic marketing plan for new patients rests on four things: an accurate Google Business Profile, a fast website with a page for each service, honest patient reviews, and claims you can back up. Paid ads and social media can add to that base. They cannot replace it. This guide sets out each part, the rules that apply, and a 90-day order of work.

- The FTC's rule on reviews and testimonials took effect on October 21, 2024.
- The FTC says health claims need "competent and reliable scientific evidence."
- Google recommends a Largest Contentful Paint within 2.5 seconds.

Is AI recommending you?
Webpatch can show you how your practice appears in ChatGPT, Google’s AI, and search — and what to fix first.
Check your visibility →The market is growing. The Bureau of Labor Statistics counts 61,700 chiropractor jobs in 2025. It projects 9 percent growth from 2025 to 2035. More practices mean more profiles in the local map results and more competition for the same searches.
The goal of marketing is to make your practice the clearest, most trusted option when a patient compares nearby practices.
How should a chiropractor set up Google Business Profile?
Start with the profile, because it feeds the map results. Google's Business Profile guidelines set three rules that matter for chiropractors.
- Use the real name. Google says "Your name should reflect your business's real-world name." Adding "Best Chiropractor Near Me" to the name breaks the guidelines.
- One profile per practitioner, not per specialty. Google states: "A practitioner shouldn't have multiple Business Profiles to cover all of their specializations."
- Separate practice and practitioner profiles. In a group practice, the location gets its own profile. A practitioner's profile "should include only the name of the practitioner."
Fill in hours, services, photos of the real office and the booking link. Keep the name, address and phone number identical on the website and the profile.
What should a chiropractic website include?
A website should answer the questions a new patient asks before booking. Build one page per service or condition you treat, such as low back pain, neck pain, sports injuries or prenatal care. Each page should state who the service is for, what a first visit involves, and how to book.
Speed matters on phones. Google's Core Web Vitals guidance asks sites to load the main content (LCP) "within the first 2.5 seconds." Heavy sliders and autoplay videos can push a page past that. For on-page detail, read our guide to SEO for chiropractors.

How can a chiropractor get more reviews legally?
Ask every patient, not only the happy ones. The FTC's rule on consumer reviews "went into effect on October 21, 2024." The FTC's Q&A says the rule exempts "generalized solicitations to purchasers for them to post reviews about their experiences."
The FTC also warns about selective asking. It says asking only customers you think are happy "could violate the FTC Act." The rule bans fake reviews and reviews that hide a staff member's connection to the business.
HIPAA adds a second layer when you reply to reviews. Read how to ask patients for reviews and how to reply to reviews under HIPAA.
What claims can chiropractic marketing make?
Claims about results need proof. The FTC's Health Products Compliance Guidance, published December 20, 2022, says health-benefit claims "require substantiation in the form of competent and reliable scientific evidence."
Watch these phrases
"Cures," "guaranteed relief" and "boosts immunity" are claims about results. Describe what you do and who it may help instead. Have a professional review any claim about outcomes.
Patient testimonials also need care under HIPAA. Our guide to HIPAA marketing rules covers the details.
How do chiropractors show up in AI answers?
AI tools such as ChatGPT and Google's AI answers draw on websites when they reply. Google notes in its JavaScript SEO guide that "not all bots can run JavaScript." Put key facts, such as services, location and hours, in plain HTML text on the page.
Run The Webpatch AI Visibility Check to see whether AI tools name your practice. Our guide to AEO for healthcare explains the method.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best marketing for chiropractors?
Start with an accurate Google Business Profile, a fast website with one page per service, and a steady review routine. Paid ads and social media work better once that base is in place.
Can a chiropractor add keywords to the Google Business Profile name?
No. Google says the name should reflect the business's real-world name and that including unnecessary information in the name isn't permitted.
Can a chiropractor offer a discount for reviews?
The FTC says its rule does not prohibit incentives for reviews as long as there is no express or implied requirement that the review be positive. Undisclosed incentives could violate the FTC Act. Get advice before offering any incentive.
Can chiropractors say treatment cures a condition?
Only with proof. The FTC says health-benefit claims require competent and reliable scientific evidence. Describe services and who they may help instead of promising results.
How fast should a chiropractic website load?
Google recommends a Largest Contentful Paint within 2.5 seconds, an INP under 200 milliseconds and a CLS under 0.1.
How many chiropractors are there in the US?
The Bureau of Labor Statistics counts 61,700 chiropractor jobs in 2025 and projects 9 percent growth from 2025 to 2035.
